Partnership Working

At Our Promise, we believe that exceptional care is built through strong partnerships and a commitment to continuous learning. To ensure every young person receives the highest quality of support, we work closely with experienced clinical psychologists, offer professional coaching to our teams, and engage in regular external supervision. These collaborations strengthen our therapeutic approach, enhance the wellbeing of our staff, and create a consistent, reflective environment where young people can thrive.

Dr Marie- Louise Holmes

We are delighted to work in partnership with Dr Marie-Louise Holmes (BSc, MSc, DClinPsych, CPsychol, HCPC), a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience across a wide range of clinical settings. Her involvement brings thoughtful insight and emotional depth to our service, through trauma and attachment informed staff training, case consultation, and systemic formulation. She has a longstanding commitment to residential childcare and is particularly skilled at translating complex psychological ideas into clear, usable approaches that support both the young people and the adults around them.

Her work is grounded in attachment, trauma, and neurodevelopmental understanding, but also in the realities of day-to-day care. She is passionate about closing the gap between theory and practice. This helps teams make sense of not just behaviour, but the emotions behind the behaviour, which reduces overwhelm and helps them stay grounded when things feel difficult. Her reflective spaces are designed to support the team’s capacity to care for the child, through the cohesion generated by shared sense making. This dual focus supports the emotional resilience of the team as a unit. This helps staff remain connected with their core purpose: to build safe, attuned, and lasting relationships with the children in their care.

She is a lover of art and incorporates image making into therapeutic work. She also has a lifelong passion for horses, previously trained in equine assisted psychotherapy and is probably happiest wearing wellies in the mud. She also drinks a lot of tea.
